Authorities Scale Back Search for Paulk Killer
Email story to a friend  Six months ago, Central Alabama learned of an 11 year old named Shannon Paulk who vanished from Candlestick Park in Prattville. A nationwide search began for the child; it came to an end when hunters found her body in Autauga county.
Authorities are realizing that the chances of finding Paulk's killer are shrinking. Police have scaled down their investigation. Three Prattville police investigators are left working on the case. That's down from the dozens who originally tried to help find Shannon.
Chief Alfred Wadsworth says the department isn't giving up.
