The child was abducted by Magdy Ahmed Elgohary. A felony warrant for Custodial Interference was issued for the abductor on June 18, 1997. The child and the abductor are of Egyptian descent. The child has a freckle on the left side of her neck and one on her left cheek. The child's nickname is "Dowsha." The abductor has a deep cleft chin and a dark freckle on his left temple. One of his thumbs is club-shaped and is wider at the top. He wears a silver ID bracelet that reads "Magdy."
